Tournament Volunteering
Tournaments are a large source of income for our club so it is imperative that we have the necessary volunteers to make them a success.
In the 2022-2023 season, the BHC will host one large tournament, the Burnsville Thanksgiving Classic. Many shifts will need to be covered to make this tournament a success. Please plan to complete as many dibs sessions as you can during this tournament weekend.
There are Dibs for all types of personalities;
for those who like the spotlight you can literally operate the spotlight! Or be an announcer and rule the stadium music!
for those who prefer to be behind the scenes (or behind the glass) be the penalty box person
for those who like numbers and stats-keep the score sheet or run the time clock
for those who like people-be a host!
Sign up early to get your preferred time and job! Additional dibs opportunities will be added during the season, but the Thanksgiving Tournament is the biggest event this year. Please try to complete most or all of your dibs at this tournament.
Try Hockey for Free Burnsville Hockey Club hosts several opportunities each year for new skaters to try hokey for free without commitment to the club. Many hands are needed to make these events a success.
Marketing - (put up and take down signs around city at locations to be provided)
Greeter - Greet participant’s families, have them sign-in and complete waiver, hand out products, assist with setup/takedown
Equipment - Give participants jerseys, help with fitting equipment, equipment sign-out/sign-in, and assist with setup/takedown
On-Ice Coaching - Assist participants on ice
Training Center Clean-up opportunities to help keep this facility welcoming and safe. Watch for announcements in the weekly newsletter communication for dates.
Hockey Moms is an important community building and fundraising branch of Burnsville Hockey Club.
Burnsville's Party on the Plaza Burnsville Hockey Club will be collecting school supplies, hosting drawings for great prizes and recruiting new players at Burnsville's Party on the Plaza. To do this, we need your smiling face and contagious energy.
Hockey Moms Apparel Sales - Occur several times each season sell apparel and other Burnsville hockey items. Help is needed to make these sales operate smoothly.
