The Firehawk Mite Program Offers Two Levels of Mite Hockey:

House Mites or Mite Plus/U8 

In House Mites, we offer four different tiers to cover kids from Pre-K to 3rd grade. Tiers are called Mini-Mite 1, Mini-Mite 2, Mite Minor and Mite Major. Players are eligible for the Mite program between 4 and 9 years old. Practices are on Saturdays and Sundays. Games are called “Jamborees” and will be played amongst other Mite Firehawk teams 

In Mite Plus/U8, we offer an optional traveling hockey component in addition to the House Mite program. It is open to Mini-Mites who have completed at least one full year of Association hockey and all Mite Minor and Mite Major players. Participation in the Mite Plus/U8 program does not replace participation in the Mite program. Players are still expected to attend all House Mite program practices and jamborees. Players will be evaluated and placed on the appropriate team for their skill development. Teams will be formed at the Beginner, Intermediate/U8 and Advanced level. 

Mite Plus/U8 teams will play against other district association teams and traveling tournaments.
