With teams just being formed, please remember that all new coaches, managers, locker room monitors and other volunteers that have contact with  players MUST complete SafeSport training prior to reporting to their duties. You cannot be rostered on the official team roster as a coach or manager until this is completed.

The SafeSport training can be completed online or by attending a District 6 group training on Wednesday.  October 15th, 7 - 9pm.

The group SafeSport training session is led by Scott Gray from District 6 & hosted by Minnetonka Youth Hockey. The event will be held at  Minnetonka HS 18301 Minnesota 7, Minnetonka, MN 55345 in The Forum.

You must pre-registering for this event as there is limited space.
Please email TJ Worrell -tjhockey19@gmail.com<mailto:tjhockey19@gmail.com>  including your name as it appears on your USA Hockey CEP registration and your USA Hockey Confirmation number. That information will be used to track your attendance at the event and issue your SafeSport certificate for the 2014-2015 season.  You will receive a confirmation email to confirm your reservation for the event.

The SafeSport Training is valid for 2 seasons. Thus if you took the training for 2013-14, you will not need to take the training again until the 2015-16 season (at which time a shorter “refresher” course will be available).

Once you have completed the SafeSport Training, please send a copy of the Certificate to the BHC SafeSport Coordinator kellydistad@yahoo.com or place it in her mailbox at the rink.  Please indicate on the certificate the team you are with and the position that you hold.

If you completed training on the prior version of SafeSport:
1. Log in on website http://training.safesport.org/
2. Click on “click here to view your courses”
3. Click on “certificate”
4. Save and print certificate
 
If you completed training on the current version of SafeSport:
1. Log in on website http://training.teamusa.org
2. Click on “Your Courses”
3. Click on USA Hockey SafeSport Course
4. Click on “download certificate” (underneath the “launch course” button)
5. Save and print certificate
