Complete your 50 pucks/day to get you name here!

5,000/10,000 PUCK CLUB

5,000 PUCK CLUB
● For EVERYONE

● Shoot/Stickhandle on average 50 pucks per day between Memorial Day and Labor Day

● You should aim to shoot everyday, BUT you do not have to shoot everyday

● Stickhandling: 1 minute = 10 shots (stickhandling can be done with ball or puck)

● This should be done in addition to any formal practices, or other off-season training programs (ie. MAPs, AAA teams, PEP, pre-season clinics, etc.)

● This can be done on dry land with tennis shoes or rollerblades or during open ice times

● You can take a wide variety of shots: wrist shots, snap shots, slap shots and backhands

● Try to simulate game situations: 1 timers, toe drags, shooting around a dender, change it up and and have fun with it

● Doing this with teammates and friends is a great idea!

● Be sure to work on accuracy while shooting, aim for corners; if able, put up targets

● Don't guesstimate! Remember, this should be done intentionally to supplement other off-season activities whether you are playing hockey, or another sport.

● Dont cheat your development: This takes no more than 10 minutes per day. Be honest with yourself and your team!

● You do not need 50 pucks, this can be done with 1 puck, 5 pucks, 10 pucks, etc…

● If you need access to pucks, please email development@burnsvillehockey.com

● No net? No problem! Ask your parents or guardian if there is something you can use such as a laundry hamper, plastic bin, garbage can, etc.

Parents/Guardians must sign off on this at the end of the summer in order to be accepted into THE CLUB. All athletes who successfully complete this challenge will be given an exclusive Burnsville Hockey 5,000 puck T-shirt and additional awards TBD.
